  1. Hi Mel, Sorry for the inconvenience this caused you last year on the car boot sale. We hope you enjoyed it aside from this. The postcode DE55 6DB, will take you to Tansley Cross Roads and we are signposted from here whichever field we are in on that day. However, I do hope you will try us again and I would personally like to offer you a free entry on the day (Just ask for Jordan). Kind Regards

    1. Hi, we’ve been extremely busy from the start of our 2019 season. So it would be worth the trip.

    1. Hi Sylvia,

Unfortunately Due to the inclement rainy weather conditions, and strong winds forecast for the whole of this Sunday, we have been forced to make the difficult decision to cancel this Sunday’s event 17th March 2019.

We will be back open and operating next Sunday as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience caused!

It is forecast for better weather next week! So we hope to welcome you next Sunday.

If you have any other questions please let us know. If you are ever unsure if we are open please give us a call on 07828602538

    1. Hi Gail,

Public are allowed in from when we first open our gates, 6am onwards. However sellers are still arriving until 9.30am so it is entirely down to personal preference what time you arrive.

Yes we do have onsite toilets.

      Thank-you

    1. ******* ANNOUNCEMENT ********
Tansley Market Statement regarding operations 2020!
      New COVID 19 Measures
Following the recent announcements from the Government on the re opening and easing of restrictions of outdoor markets, the following measures will be put into place at our events. Commencing the reopening of our 2020 season, we will be adhering to all government guidelines and Public Health England advice. As operators we will be ramping up social distancing measures leaving no stone unturned, regarding all areas surrounding COVID 19 which affect our events. The safety of our staff, public visitors, and traders as always is paramount.
We have taken the decision to open Tansley Market using a new phased system from SUNDAY 14TH JUNE 2020. Phase 1, from our first event we will ONLY be allowing any sellers whom sell NEW ITEMS including Crafts to attend the event. Added to our events this year and included in Phase 1, we are introducing a farmers market, as we feel this will help the local economy. During Phase 1, NO second hand goods will be permitted to be sold on site (no car boot sellers). We do not feel at this time it is in the publics interest regarding health and safety, to allow second hand goods to be sold at our event. We feel at this time a phased approach, taking small steps, is the safest method to keep our staff, traders and customers safe. Phase 1 will last for two Sundays (14th, 21st June), we will continue to monitor how well our current measures which we have put into place for Phase 1 are working. Providing all of our measures are working and the premises remains Covid secure we aim to move onto Phase 2.
Phase 2 will begin Sunday 28th June 2020, again providing that all of our methods are working we will then allow all sellers including second hand goods to be sold at the event (car boot sellers).
      To Reiterate:
PHASE 1 – (14th, 21st June) – Any sellers/traders with New Goods, Crafts, and Farmers Market Traders can attend. NO SECOND HAND GOODS
PHASE 2 – (28th June onwards) – ALL WELCOME including: Car Boot Second Hand Stalls, Craft Stalls, Traders with New Goods, Farmers Market Traders
To keep our staff, public and traders safe we are implicating the following new measures:
Social Distancing: It is important to maintain a distance from others, customers advised not to attend the event if they feel unwell, avoid being face to face with other customers, public parking will be well spaced out, trader zone will be widely spaced out, large volume of signage located on entrance and around the site to advise and remind of 2m distancing rule, additional staff employed to ensure measures are adhered to, no seating at the event to avoid customers gathering, children’s inflatables will not be at the event as social distancing will not be possible in this area, we ask all our customers to use common sense when attending the event, be kind to one another, and be patient when queuing. IF YOU FEEL UNWELL PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND OUR EVENT!
Face Coverings: Customers encouraged to wear face coverings where possible, persons deciding not to wear a face covering will be asked to respect other customers choice to do so, for hygienic purposes customers will be asked not to discard of their used masks / coverings at the event, PPE available for purchase at the event
Keeping Hands Clean: Two hand sanitising stations located on site, signage to remind customers to use our sanitiser stations regularly especially after coming into contact with any goods or surfaces, we encourage customers to bring along their own sanitiser, If customers/traders decide to wear gloves we will advise for these to be changed frequently and sanitise in between transactions
Toilet Facilities: As always toilet facilities will be available on site and will be permanently manned cleaned and disinfected by staff, signage will be located at this area, advising customers to social distance whilst queueing, a hand sanitiser station will be located at a safe distance next to the toilets.
One Way System: We considered putting into place a one way system for the aisles, however with our distancing of stalls and large aisles, we feel this is unnecessary as we can provide a large open space for all of our customers. We also believe that if the one way system was in place, this will create arguments and issues in times of lapsed concentration. Therefore creating a negative impact, rather than a positive. This is something we will monitor going forward, and if changes should need to be made, we will do so.
We are entering unprecedented times, so please bare with us whilst we are putting all of our new measures in place to keep the event Covid secure. Please feel free to contact us, if you have any further questions regarding our new social distancing measures.
      Thank you for sharing.

Passing this decided to pop in and have a look theres so much choice and its massive could probably buy anything you need here and at a bargain. Plenty of refreshment vans ect to keep you going. Going to make this our regular car boot / market place to go.

“Great Bargains”

This is a great car boot sale, you are never too sure quite what bargains you might find when you go there. It is well organised with good sign posting, the car parking is well organised too and it attracts so many stall holders you can be confident that it will be worth the visit.
